ABCD Pediatrics

ABCD Pediatrics is a highly respected private pediatric group located in San Antonio Texas. They have been a client for nine years. ABCD Pediatrics was an early adopter and integrator of electronic medical records. They were well ahead of the pack with regard HIPAA compliance. ABCD was first referred to us in 1999 by another client of ours. They asked for our help to expand their local network.

ABCD pediatrics soon came to realize the value of having a team of technical experts working for them. Technology issues which were previously impossible became surprisingly easy with our help. ABCD found that we were both their spokesman and translator in dealing with the complicated, acronym-laden world of information technology. After the expansion was complete, became ABCD Pediatrics IT company for their ongoing networking needs. Through the years we have helped ABCD Pediatrics meet and overcome many IT challenges. We have assisted them in selecting and implementing hardware and software solutions and made sure that their investment in technology was just truly an investment towards the growth of the practice.

ABCD Pediatrics business has grown considerably since then. In 2003 they built their own new facility. The new pediatric center is one of the most modern, state-of-the-art pediatric care facilities in the southwest.

Building the new facility provided ABCD Pediatrics the opportunity to custom build a network designed specifically for them to best serve the needs of their patients and staff.

Bridgehead IT represented ABCD Pediatrics' interests in many meetings during the pre-construction and construction of the facility, providing input and alternatives for the design of their future data systems.

Once ABCD had selected their EMR and PM solutions, We engineered their network infrastructure to maximize the functionality of these solutions.

We designed and implemented and secured a wireless / hard-wired network solution and custom engineered servers to meet the stringent demands of these mission critical applications.

ABCD Pediatrics, now enjoys the peace of mind of knowing that their patient records are securely stored in digital form on their very reliable and redundant servers. These digital records are quickly available to the physicians and their staff both clinical and administrative. All records are replicated to redundant data repositories. With patient data now instantly available from anywhere within the clinic, ABCD Pediatrics and its patients now benefit from a totally paperless, highly efficient and secure information system.

In early 2008, ABCD Pediatrics once again expanded their physical presence by adding a second location in order to better serve their patients. Once again, Bridgehead IT managed the responsibilities of ensuring their data systems were properly engineered, implemented and configured in time for opening day.
